wahahahaha! hello! natutuwa lang ako kasi 'yung binabasa kong book ngayon ay napakaganda! ang galing ni max lucado magsulat! he can really make his text show deep and strong emotions. The book I'm reading now is "He Chose The Nails", by the way.

Well, it's really nice because the book is all about Jesus' crucifixion, and ressurection, and what it really means... what each act means. He talks about God's promises in each and every thing that happened. What God promised in the soldier's spit, in the crown of thorns, and many more... up to the promise in the empty tomb. But, what's really nice about the book is that Lucado also puts in some poetry which, I think, are made by him. And, he starts the book with what Jesus did... the reason behind His death. A great book for both believers and non-believers.... it's really touching and it's really a blessing...

Well, here's an excerpt from chapter 1... last page of chapter 1.

The diadem of pain

which sliced your gentle face,

three spikes piercing flesh and wood

to hold you in your place.

The need for blood I understand.

Your sacrifice I embrace.

But the bitter sponge, the cutting spear,

the spit opun your face?

Did it have to be a cross?

Did not a kinder death exist

than six hours hanging between life and death,

all spurred by a betrayer's kiss?

"Oh, Father," you pose,

heart-stilled at what could be,

"I'm sorry to ask, but I long to know,

did you do this for me?"

Dare we pray such a prayer? Dare we think such thoughts? Could it be that the hill of the cross is rich with God's gifts? Let's examine them, shall we? Let's unwrap these gifts of grace as if - or perhaps, indeed - for the first time. And as you touch them - as you feel the timber of the cross and trace the braid of the crown and finger the point of the spike - pause and listen. Perchance you will hear him whisper:

"I did it just for you."

See? Wasn't that great? It proves that God really does work in mysterious ways... that small excerpt was such a blessing for me. It really opened my eyes... the fact that He did it just for me!

So, that's pretty much what I really liked to write about.... how I can really see that God speaks through His children also... He has His own ways of showing His love for us... Go God! THANKS!

So... to those who are reading this... I hope that the excerpt would tickle your curiosity to delve, maybe for the first time, to who this Jesus really is... to this crucifixion... to this God who dwelt among us...

God bless you all!!!
