I just wanted to write something... Missed church today... Feeling super empty...

I FEEL BLANK!!!!

I'm kinda restless now... I don't think I'll be fine... I feel so tired too... Does that make sense? Restless yet tired? Haha... I don't even have the energy to be funny...

Anyway, I want to share my feelings to you... It's not really bad... It's just like being away from someone...

Have you ever felt like you betrayed someone you love?
Have you ever felt like it's been so long since you talked with your parents?
Have you ever felt like your parents are giving you everything they can but you don't seem to notice it?
Have you ever felt so alone... even when there are people who love you surrounds you?

These are what I feel right now... It's not really about my parents... but, kinda... I don't seem to recognize how much they love me 'til today. I don't seem to feel the love around me 'til today. Wanna know why? It's because I've missed church... Suppossedly, a Christian is not measured by his/her attendace in church... But, right now, it's the only thing keeping me attached to God... I am pushing myself away from Him... I don't know why... I'm not really sure if it's me who's pushing or if it's the world thats pulling me... Good thing I have friends who know me... and knows what I should do... Thank You, GOD!!

I'm now feeling so empty... like a glass with no liquid in it... Just air... Invisible, tasteless air.

That's it... Just wanted to share my feeling to you...

CHAPTER 2

CHAPTER 2: "THE REAL BEGINNING"

So, we'll be time travelling to see who this "Jack" is... We'll go to their elementary school. It's already 7:59 and the gate is being closed. A boy is running towards the gate and shouts, "WAIT!!! It's not yet 8:00!"

And with that, the guard closing the gate stops and looks surprised at this kid who's running in an unbelievable pace. The boy made it just in time and tries to catch his breath. After catching his breath, he walks to find his classroom.

"Let's see... Grade 6 Class C... where could this be?" He asks himself.

"You go inside that building and turn right. Go up the stairs up to the 3rd floor. There, turn right and you will see all the Grade 6 classrooms- from Class A to Class F. Just find Class C" says the guard pointing to the big building in front of the boy.

"Thanks you... By the way, I'm Jack. Thanks for not closing the gate on me. Hehe..." And off he goes to find his classroom. He checks his watch and sees that it is already 8:02. He runs towards the building, turns right, goes up the stairs to the 3rd floor and turns right again. He saw his classroom and knocks.

"Come on in." says the teacher.

Jack comes in and is greeted by the giggle of his classmates. He was still catching his breath when he was called by the teacher to stand in front and introduce himself.

"Jack, come here. Class, this is Jack. He just moved into town so be nice to him, okay?" says the teacher.

"Um... Hi. I'm Jack... Nice to meet you all!" and with a stiff bow proceeds to a vacant seat to the back. He sits down and looks around. He looked left and sees the window. Right and he sees beauty incarnate. This girl he sees was looking at him with a smile that could take your heart away. She giggles a little and turn to the blackboard. Her turn made her straight and majestic hair follow her. Jack was mesmerized by this girl he saw.

"Likido, Jack?! Hey! Mr. Likido! Pay attention! Say present!" shouts the teacher.

Jack quickly looked at the teacher and shouted "present!" The class giggles again and the girl sitting beside him leans toward him and says, "Don't be too insecure. It's okay."

Class went on alright. It was now recess time.

"I'm Anna, by the way." says a voice beside Jack.

"Uh... H-hi! I-I'm Jack..." stuttered Jack.

"I know that... So, you wanna come with me? I'll introduce you to everyone I know. That okay with you?"

"Uh... S-sure... T-thanks."

And they went out the classroom and Anna said hi to every person they passed by. And after every hi she introduced Jack. Anna was acquainted with almost everyone in the school. Maybe it's because of her beautiful face, mesmerizing smile and wonderful eyes. Everything about her was nice. Plus, she had a good heart. She didn't seem to be hiding anything evil either. So, the day went on...

The class is dismissed and Jack finds himself being with Anna again. They said hi to everyone they passed by. They walked past the gate and Anna asked,

"Where do you live?"

"Near the bakery 2 blocks away. I believe the bakery's name was...---"

"Sweet Confetti!"

"Huh?! That's right... How'd you know? You live around there too?

"Yeah! We live in front of the bakery and the bakery is my Aunt's. So, you must be the family who just transferred to the house beside the bakery."

"Yeah... Hehe... What d'you know? We're neighbors! Hahaha!"

And after their conversation, they find themselves in front of the bakery. They ate some bread there and went home. It was a Monday that day... So, they still had 4 more days until Saturday.

Let's skip that 4 days and proceed to what happens on Saturday. So, it's Saturday... Aah, weekends. A day for leisure.

"Jack!!! Wake up already! It's 10:00 in the morning! Let's play! I've invited your friends and mine!"

Since, they have been in school for 5 days already, they have made friends. Jack, as all boys do, often get stuck with male friends. While, Anna, is not like any other girl, she gets along with anyone. They were a happy bunch.

So, that's it for this Chapter. We'll go on to the next and see what happens after a few days, weeks and months.

A minister passing through his church

in the middle of the day,

Decided to pause by the altar

and see who had come to pray.

Just then the back door opened,

a man came down the aisle,

The minister frowned as he saw

the man hadn't shaved in a while.

His shirt was kind a shabby

and his coat was worn and frayed,

the man knelt, he bowed his head,

Then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed,

each noon time came this chap,

each time he knelt just for a moment,

A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister's suspicions grew,

with robbery a main fear,

He decided to stop the man and ask him,

"What are you doing here?"

The old man said, he worked down the road.

Lunch was half an hour.

Lunchtime was his prayer time,

For finding strength and power.

"I stay only moments, see,

because the factory is so far away;

as I kneel here talking to the Lord,

This is kind a what I say:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,

HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN,

SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP

AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.

DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY,

BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.

SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM

CHECKING IN TODAY."

The minister feeling foolish,

told Jim, that was fine.

He told the man he was welcome

To come and pray just anytime.

Time to go, Jim smiled, said "Thanks."

He hurried to the door.

The minister knelt at the altar,

he'd never done it before.

His cold heart melted, warmed with love,

and met with Jesus there.

As the tears flowed, in his heart,

he repeated old Jim's prayer:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,

HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN,

SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP

AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.

I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT

I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.

SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY."


Past noon one day, the minister noticed

that old Jim hadn't come.

As more days passed without Jim,

he began to worry some.

At the factory, he asked about him,

learning he was ill.

The hospital staff was worried,

But he'd given them a thrill.

The week that Jim was with them,

Brought changes in the ward.

His smiles, a joy contagious.

Changed people, were his reward.

The head nurse couldn't understand

why Jim was so glad,

when no flowers, calls or cards came,

Not a visitor he had.

The minister stayed by his bed,

He voiced the nurse's concern:

No friends came to show they cared.

He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Jim spoke

up and with a winsome smile;

"the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know,

that in here all the while

everyday at noon He's here,

a dear friend of mine, you see,

He sits right down, takes my hand,

Leans over and says to me:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM,

HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN,

SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP,

AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN.

ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY,

I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY,

AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS

CHECKING IN TODAY."

CHAPTER 1: "THE BEGINNING"
DING-DONG! The doorbell rang and in came a letter through the door. The sound of a motorcycle can be heard inside the house.
"Could you get that Anna?" said a voice from the kitchen.
"Okay!" replied this woman named Anna.
The woman came rushing to the door and grabbed the letter on the floor. It was a beautifully sealed envelope, and it smelled fragrant. A love letter perhaps? She turned the letter and saw that it was addressed to her... it was from an anonymous person.
She opened the letter and it read:
"Anna,
I'm sorry I wrote to you so suddenly and perhaps you don't even remember me. Hehe... Anyway, I hope you're doing fine. It's been years since we've last met... I believe it has already been 10 years. We were classmates in our elementary years.
By the way, if you still remember me... I was your neighbor. We were childhood friends. I'll give you some clues... We always wanted to go to this riverbank and catch dragonflies, we always threw rocks at other houses and hide, and out all time favorite: loosen the pepper dispenser so that when people used it the pepper would all fall to their dish. Hahahaha! Brings back a lot of memories... of the Principal's Office. Hehe... Anyway, I didn't write my name because it's up to you to know who I am.
Reply to me if you want to... The address is on the envelope.

Anna folded the letter and put it on the cupboard. She pulled out the drawer and took a photo album. There, she saw a class picture. Grade 6 Class C. Then, she saw a boy. A little boy with a great big smile next to her and a name suddenly appeared on her mind: "Jack". Then, her eyes welled up and she whispered: "You still remember me... I thought you already forgot after all I said during that day..."
So, what happened that day? What was the relationship between these two people? What happened 10 years ago... during their elementary days? They're now adults... around the age of 22 yrs. old. What could possibly bring tears to a woman's eyes just by looking at a picture... Let's see...
